Well the new year is upon us once more.
Last year we had some changes. We finally got moved out of our warehouse space next to the fiberglass guys and into a standalone building with windows! Yeah. I love it here and from the feed back from our customers so do they.
So now whats new for this year. We have a new econo line on its way so check back I will have pictures and updates about those soon. We introduced a new self stick album in 4x6 and 5x7 at the end of last year that we will be stocking for 2012. And of course TAP has new products as well.
So here's to a great 2012.

Self Stick Albums Sticky?

I got a great tip from one of my customers, Cheryl at Cheryl Lynn Photography. She uses self stick albums and had put a print on crooked.

She found a product called Un-du @ www.un-du.com.

This is what the company said on there site about their product.

She swears by this product. So if you are at all nervous about using self stick albums, don't be. You can get the print off without harming the print or glue, straiten it out and put it down again.

Yes that's right. Its a blog for Great Lakes Albums, otherwise know as GLA.

This blog is going to be informal and fun. We may take about the business, we may not.

So lets start with a little bit about us and get that out of the way.

GLA has been in business for more than 25 years. Just like most corporations we started in the basement of our house. Soon we were expanding to the upstairs [all the bedrooms are on the main floor]. By the time I was out on my own it had overflowed into the garage, taking it completely over. After years of running from the house to the garage [it was detached] back to the house I decided it was time to move on to a bigger and more professional space. We found our first warehouse space just a mile and a half from the house. We actually had an official office and warehouse racks from floor to ceiling. With in a year we were bulging at the seams. A bigger space had become available on the other end of the strip. So we moved again, but between fiberglass and sandblasting from the guys nextstore we just couldn't stay any longer. So we moved again to our new location this past spring. We are now located in a commercial building and out of the warehouse community. We Love It!!!!!

During these last 25 years we have seen products come and go and come back again. Now with the digital age among us things will never be the same. So we began manufacturing our own line of coffee table books five years ago. We have expanded and added new things to that album line this past year.
I am also the only producer of a crystal art line in the US. There are many variations, but our is one of kind.

In addition to our albums we carry TAP products and a few others, such as cd/dvd cases, mount board, wallet boxes and self stick album.
